Those that support abortion would lose their collective minds ..
Fernie · F
@Stillwaiting if they support it they've already LOST their collective minds
@Fernie I mean those that support abortion will lose their minds ..

I'm prolife .. really only support abortion in case of rape, incest or medical threat to the mother's life ..

@Stillwaiting Easy to talk about people losing their minds when you’ve already lost yours 😂
@Stillwaiting Alabama’s new law doesn’t consider rape or incest a good enough reason. Nobody who would force a girl or woman to carry a child against her will can claim to care at all about them. And you won’t ever prevent abortions—only safe ones. So you won’t save babies, you’ll only kill more girls and women. Hardly “pro-life”. 😞
@QuixoticSoul Save the electrons .. IDGAF what you think
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Stillwaiting Truth stings, but you’ll live.
@QuixoticSoul Ooh .. yeah .. I feel so stung by comments from a self-important POS like you. 🙄
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Stillwaiting Obviously.

@QuixoticSoul If you want to know (or hadn't already guessed ) where our friend above is really coming from then consider that his original response was edited to change ; "The Libs that support it would lose their collective minds." to "Those that support it would lose their collective minds."

And just like those assholes in Alabama , and that one who now sits in the White House , it's all just politics. They don't really give a fuck other than that they know it's what the rabid evangelical base wants. That's their guarantor of power.
@RodionRomanovitch This wasn't an issue I pressed much before, despite generally disagreeing with abortion, when it was limited to the time before the fetus was viable. The laws changed in VA and NYC and being looked at elsewhere go beyond what I believe is defendable for a woman's right to choose purposes. Is there politics involved in the two sides .. sure and on both sides of it .. but more driven by moral and religious beliefs. Calling anyone who disagrees a rabid evangelical is your way of dismissing it and demonizing anyone who disagrees. You are no better .. simply the other side of the coin.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@Stillwaiting The 'rabid evangelical'jibe wasn't directed personally at you but it is fitting ,as far as I am concerned , to describe those so called christians whose support of Trump is a lesson on hypocrisy. Their willingness to overlook everything else to pursue that one goal is a form of extremism bordering on rabid.
@RodionRomanovitch What choice were we given .. him or Clinton? She's better polished and smarter in how she presents herself .. but as crooked as anyone including Trump. Our political parties and system are corrupt and disconnected from their real purpose. Few of those running for office are worthy or doing their job. People supported him because of the issues he supported more so than the man himself .. which they saw as the lesser of the two evils on the final ballots. That's how fucked up things have become here.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@Stillwaiting Well I don't disagree that she was a pretty awful candidate herself. Against virtually anybody else he probably would not have won. Just out of curiosity , would you vote for him again regardless or could you be persuaded to shift your vote were he to be up against , for example , Biden or Harris ?
@RodionRomanovitch I'd love to see a better candidate on Republican side .. Kasich or someone better suited .. but not seeing that happening. It will depend on who comes forward and their policies. This everything free for everybody stuff is lunacy .. let alone the NGD fluff. That is a path to socialism and the suffocating tax burden of the EU. If that's the choice .. I'd vote Trump.
@Stillwaiting Makes sense you would be a Trump supporter since like him you are clearly a misogynist. Only someone who dislikes girls and women would relegate them to human incubator status rather allowing them a choice over their own bodies.
@bijouxbroussard Oh give me a break .. if you can read I said I would rather see a different candidate. I support no abortion past the point of the fetus being viable .. has not one thing to do with misogyny. Im not calling you a baby killer because of your beliefs .. but you cant have a discussion without jumping to this small minded bull shit so typical of the left.
@Stillwaiting You can’t call me a baby killer anyway. I support other women being able to choose for themselves. And you and these others won’t stop abortions anyway, just the safe ones. That makes you folks just plain killers, since women and girls will start dying like before Roe v Wade. And that you think someone who was accused of assault by 19 women and a 13 year girl, who bragged about groping women is the “lesser of evils” says plenty. Trump is definitely a misogynist.
Fernie · F
@Stillwaiting what a rude and angry little male you are. Try to have an intelligent debate and what we get from you is name calling and insults when someone doesn't agree with you. I don't know why these intelligent, well informed folks are wasting their time with you. You HAVE no credibility here at this point. I await your wrath
@Stillwaiting Incidentally, Trump certainly wasn’t against abortion back when he was cheating on his wives and getting other women pregnant. I’m pretty sure he’s paid for several. 😒
Fernie · F
@bijouxbroussard I sure wish those women would/could come forward
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@Stillwaiting You're pro birth, not pro life. Big difference hun!!
@Fernie Trump’s stock in trade has been the NDA, so chances are he’d sue them. The woman who filed assault charges when she was 13 has said that she’s received threats from his people.

@Stillwaiting
This wasn't an issue I pressed much before, despite generally disagreeing with abortion, when it was limited to the time before the fetus was viable. The laws changed in VA and NYC and being looked at elsewhere go beyond what I believe is defendable for a woman's right to choose purposes.
Both of those states only allowed for post-viability abortions in case of emergencies or non-viability.
@QuixoticSoul they also significantly reduced limitations to obtain right to do so .. down to single practitioner vs three agreeing mother's health in jeopardy .. makes it easier to abuse, like doctors that are habitual prescribers or opiods and other schedule drugs ..the rights were already there, only one reason to change the thresholds
@Stillwaiting

Sen. Susan Collins (R) and Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R) are both Pro-Choice.

Thankfully their soul has not been bought and paid for by the Koch brothers - yet.
