The United States would have hit rock bottom and failed in ways that would have affected everyone
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@marriedplus3 And nothing has changed, except an extra trillion or two on the debt.
MarmeeMarch · M
@whowasthatmaskedman ah ah ah - dont forget the war that was costing trillions and trillions that BO kept alive and well
marriedplus3 · 36-40, M
Economy is booming and we have record low unemployment numbers @whowasthatmaskedman
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MarmeeMarch No. I dont forget any of it. All the way back to the removal of the Gold Standard by Nixon and the deregulation and tax moves of Reaganomics. (Both Republicans) But Every administration since then has added a particular twist that made the curse worse in an attempt to put off the evil day of atonement for robbing the cookie jar. Its still coming. And it wants about $26 Trillion. Thats over $65 thousand in REAL ASSETS (not paper money) for every man, woman and child citizen.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@marriedplus3 No. The economy isnt booming. If you went out and got a bunch of new credit cards on the first of the month, you could have a holiday, pay for cable and eat well and kid yourselves everything was fine. Until the bills rolled in. Thats where America is.
MarmeeMarch · M
@whowasthatmaskedman Im not worried - we enjoy a standard of living second to none. I dont know about the day of atonement but I guess it will happen last on the list of nations that write checks that they cant back up either.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MarmeeMarch Let me put this in perspective for you. On a per capita basis, on the numbers I quoted, America is several times broker than Greece. Dont get comfortable. Its not going to last.
MarmeeMarch · M
@whowasthatmaskedman Greece ? you are comparing us to a 2 1/2 world country ? Oh come on now. You report what you hear - Black and white raw numbers thats all you hear and of course its negative. Its News ! that sells.
I have lived here all my life and I have to say that I aint seeing it. You seem to think the US is just a bunch of bumbling boobs walking around like zombies - OK fine. You will never hear any good news as long as the left slanted media reports what you want to hear.
You don't seem to realize in our short history we have out fought - out funded - out healed - out invented and out fed and taught any nation on this planet. Yea - we are going down the perviable tubes. - You run with that.

@MarmeeMarch All I can say is that you are inside the goldfish bowl looking out. You cant see the global picture. Which was fine when America ran the world economy. Those days are in the past now, Sorry. This is coming back to bite the US pretty soon.
MarmeeMarch · M
@whowasthatmaskedman Sounds like California better prepare for the next earthquake - its gonna happen - it really is -----Just tell me already and stop with all this negative talk. I am used to hearing this line - that is gonna happen. Ok when it does it does and 💁♂️I am sure we will recover.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MarmeeMarch Okay.. Then you tell me how the US is going to make enough money out of exports over imports to pay back $26 Trillion , assuming the budget gets magically balanced as of today??
MarmeeMarch · M
@whowasthatmaskedman it aint going to happen overnight - and we have loans out there too that we should call back
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MarmeeMarch No.. That is a net number.. and you have to maintain the nation and its people in the lifestyle of the rich and bloated.. But I know how it "aint " going to happen. I need you to tell me how it IS..
MarmeeMarch · M
@whowasthatmaskedman If I could tell you - we would be having this conversation on my yacht.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MarmeeMarch 👍️Exactly! We agree. I do feel a lot of sympathy for todays America. It was sold down the river by generations of politicians trying to defy gravity. And it almost worked . As long as America ran "The house" everyone could print money and keep the game afloat. But it has stumbled a few times now and China is the one with the winning hand. Trump and the Republicans (and Obama before him ) are holding a busted flush. Obama knew it and was just trying to stay in the game. Trump is doubling down like a drunk and screaming that the game is rigged, where in fact it was the US that had the Houses edge and is loosing it.

@marriedplus3 "Economy is booming"
*50% of full time employees are below the poverty line*
*75% of Americans live paycheck-to-paycheck*
*37 million have no health insurance*
*45,000 die yearly from preventable diseases because of no health coverage*
*4 trillion in student loan debt*
"Economy is booming"
Lol

@BlueMetalChick any .gov stats to back this up if so I want to look and see for myself.
MarmeeMarch · M
@BlueMetalChick whos fault if there is a 4T student loan debt? Trump ?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MarmeeMarch Partially, yes. The point was to illistrate that the economy is not "booming" though, not to blame Trump.
The two percentages I stated were from the CBO, who claimed that about 54% of people with full time employment earn less than $30,000 and therefore qualify for some kind of welfare, and that three quarters of Americans self report as living from paycheck to paycheck.

@MarmeeMarch To be fair. Trump is not to blame for the bad economy.. He is only to blame for saying its a great economy and taking the credit.
MarmeeMarch · M
@BlueMetalChick
Check this out - this is only SECOND HAND SMOKE.
Secondhand smoke causes approximately 7,330 deaths from lung cancer and 33,950 deaths from heart disease each year. Between 1964 and 2014, 2.5 million people died from exposure to secondhand smoke, according to the 2014 report from the U.S. Surgeon General.Apr 4, 2019
If this is the data for second hand smoke think of FIRST HAND smoke.
Smoking is 100% preventable.

@MarmeeMarch No no no, 45,000 die ever year from a disease they could have survived if they had access to BASIC healthcare. Not cancer specialty facilities.
The 45,000 number was from 2015 though, apparently it's decreased to about 38,000. Ooh, great. Only thirty eight thousand people die now.

@whowasthatmaskedman Just words - what would you do if the leader of you country said that the banks are failing -- I know you would go 100 miles an hour to the bank and withdraw your $$.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MarmeeMarch Actually, I would head to the shopping Centre and stock up on beans, rice and anything else practical, because my "money" would be worth $h*t. That is Americas worst case scenario.
MarmeeMarch · M
@whowasthatmaskedman Or you can go to the Perth Mint and by as much gold as you can afford - thats the best way.
