Which one do you fall into?

"Private companies must make any and all wedding cakes", or "private companies can ban whoever they like"?

That's a tough one. On one hand there is a law against discrimination against sexual orientation (which I assume this is about), but on the other hand the free market is powerful. Declining too many offers will doom your business, so that may take care of refusing orders for bigoted reasons.

@SW-User Telling someone they can only do premade cakes is not sexual discrimination though, it's cakes? It is surely worse to ban people for legal speech? Yet the establishment has decided "force baker to break his own rules to avoid being sued, allow companies to ban people for legal speech".

@cunningcrocodile Only allowing premade cakes is different indeed. A butcher is allowed to limit his service to meat and can't be sued for not offering cupboards or garden designs. Offering custom cakes but limiting that to straight couples and declining cakes to gay couples is a lot more edgy though.

@SW-User If he did that they may have a point, and the leftists are trying to give the impression that that is what happened.

@cunningcrocodile I don't know the details of the particular case you're referring to and that makes all the difference. That's why I'm on the fence until I know the full circumstances.
