Why is everything expensive under trump.
Bag of chips was 1.49 4 years ago now they are 1.89. 40 cent price hike, gas is expensive.

So potatoes must be planted and harvested. They must be transported to the processing plant. They must be processed into chips and packaged. The chips must then be transported to your local grocery store or convenience store so they can be stocked and sold to you. Lots of labor goes into making your chips available. Have the dems artificially raised any worker's wage in the last four years? Has minimum wage increased?? 🤔

@easterniowegin Democrats say they want to help the working poor, but do they really? They all seem to want a higher minimum wage. That would hurt many of the people Democrats say they want to help. When the minimum wage increases, so does unemployment and underemployment. Hardest hit are teenagers and adults with little education or work experience. The minimum wage could be raised to $100 per hour, but it would not help anyone who is unemployed.

Price changes don't occur in a vacuum. If you artificially raise the wages outside of normal free market, you should expect that prices for goods and services will also go up to compensate. What are you missing here?

@thunderdogknight7 The poor are getting poorer? How could that be possible after 16 years of Democrat presidencies in the last 25 years. Democrats are supposed to help the poor. Oh, right, they can't. If they did, the poor would join middle class/income and be able to better support themselves and their families. Democrats can't risk losing power over them.

@easterniowegin Bingo! Most economists consent if wage rates rise by ten percent, it puts a choice before the nation of unemployment or inflation. This ignores the possibility of an equal productivity increase, but I think that would be unlikely.
