Who has a better chance of beating Trump? Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders?

Neither is my first choice, so don’t get all, “what about everyone else??” angry. I’m just curious as to how people see these two vs Trump

I'm giving a big shrug to both of them.
Biden just doesn't appear to bright and
Bernie is too out there - promising so much "free" stuff that will have to be paid for.

Plus his age is a factor - just like Regan's was back in the day (yikes, has it been that long ago?)

I hope Bernie gets the nomination. Most Americans outside of California and New England know his economic policies assure economic destruction for all and will reject him in the general election. When it's proven that there are not enough millionaires and billionaires to pay for all of the "free" benefits Democrats want to give us, they will be forced to redefine "rich" as "anyone with a job" and the rest of us will see our taxes increase.

@puck61 It is sad that so many Americans are ignorant of the destruction that socialism causes. It has failed everywhere it has been tried, so I wonder why anyone expects it to work here.
@StrictSouthernHOH I have another problem with socialism besides the fact that it is a death certificate. It will guarantee a much quicker rise to power for the Muslims. I promise everyone, if we don't isolate and quarantine Islam we will be plunged into another "dark ages" in 50 years at most....30 at least! It will be ugly and awful for anyone who doesn't masochistically want it.
@StrictSouthernHOH This is my pathetic clarion call. We seriously need to quarantine Islam or abandon hope. We can pay a tax (better than jizya) to ensure their comfort and stability a very very long ways from us. Islam must be separated and isolated from all other cultures, belief systems, and nations. I don't hate them. I just want to save the rest of the world. Shit. I would be willing to give them all swimming pools and tennis courts and whatever they want to eat if they would just go away! I hate even seeing them!

Whoever the nominee is, the left needs to unite with him/her. Division among the left isn't doing us any good, and it's exactly what the trump camp wants to see.

The feminist in me really wants a woman as president, so to answer your question, neither. However, I'd vote for the nominee because their worst ideas are a thousand times better than trump's best.

@KimWexler My biggest fear is that Bernie would win the democratic nomination only to lose to Trump because this country will never accept his agenda. Or he'd lose the nomination and the backlash of it would give Trump the win which clearly happened before and could as easily happen again.

The division within the democratic party is real and huge, and Trump is counting on it. The left and the progressive dems will find it very hard to vote to Biden. Same goes for the moderate traditional dems who will never vote for Bernie. It's like Hillary Vs. Bernie all over again

^^^This. All of this.^^^
Bernie. Biden isn't crazy enough for this crop of democrats. He's gaff prone and has his house of cards, but the current democrats want someone mas loco en la cabeza! Biden is the only potential runner who doesn't have that wild eye'd demon possessed look. He doesn't stand a chance.

I think Joe Biden has more electiblity than Sanders. Sanders is a flat out crazy socialist, and he doesn't lie about his crazy beliefs, and most Americans will be too turned off to vote for him.

So, of the two, I think Biden will win the nomination. He is already beginning to run on the platform of "Let's all hate Trump", and he can't win with no real ideas of his own, and he doesn't seem to have any.
4meAndyou · F
@puck61 I don't think the really wild eyed ones have a solid majority, TBH. You are almost betting that almost half the voters in the United States are stupid, can't do basic math, and are willing to risk their own financial well being, not knowing the effect of the nutty programs currently being proposed. I have a tiny bit more faith than that.

I think the really crazy ones are not supported by on-the-fence Independents, who are rapidly becoming a power to be reckoned with, and I don't think even moderate Democrats can stand voting for people like Bernie. But...that's just my opinion. I have a lot more faith in people wanting security, financial well being, and safety for their children than you do right now. I know it's hard to have faith.
@4meAndyou Oh not at all my goddess! 😁 I am talking about democrat voters! I don't think they have a snowflakes chance on a gun range~! Most people in the United States are actually a hell of a lot more educated than the mess we have making all the noise! I know that!
I'm talking about the crazy whims of the nutty dims, not the sensible principles of Americans!
Sorry about the gushing. I just like you. I don't want nothing but your input and undying devotion! You have to admit though, I have a knack for alliteration!

@puck61 You do. 😉

Bernie, the left has gone off the rails, and Biden is to close to normal for them.

Realistically, I would say neither, but I watched a no name contender come in and take all of the support of the party and usurp the obvious contender before.

@xixgun I see

Biden probably, although I hope Sanders get the nomination.
Personally believe Trump will be reelected

Bernie is awesome but i guess people aren't so stay tuned for just another fuck up
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Unless someone not one of the announced twenty comes along with something halfway sensible the President will be re-elected
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Shapiro? @puck61
@jackjjackson Ben Shapiro would make a fine president, in my opinion. He has the knowledge and the cajones to talk to anyone on earth with honesty and practicality.

Milo would be fine with me too , to be perfectly honest. I don't dig the flambo, but he is a truth teller.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
OK. Not bad options. @puck61
Sanders v Trump would be a nightmare, IMO. Bernie is a secular Jewish socialist who's light on foreign policy.

Biden v Trump would be ugly, but nowhere near as divisive and bloody as Sanders could be.
@MistyCee The cannibalism is going to interesting to watch.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
Probably Biden, but either one would beat Trump. Any Democratic nominee will beat Trump in 2020.
MrMaX · 100+, M
@windinhishair I hope so mate. I really hope so.
katielass · F
There isn't anyone who has announced, or is even walking close to the water, that can beat Trump.
Scubaguy027 · 46-50, M
Neither. Bernie Sanders is an idiot and Joe Biden is not far behind him.
TexChik · F
One wants convicted felons in prison to vote , The other is creepy with all the touching
Biden and Sanders couldn't even beat an egg!
