How can one claim a Second Referendum is Democratic when they have not accepted the results of the first Referendum?

After two+ years there is still no parliamentary agreement on what the exit is... why shouldn’t the people have a say if the politicians can’t agree on a brexit stratedy...

@yeronlyman and yet people have been calling for a second referendum right off the bat after the results of the first referendum came in, which was on the 23rd-24th of June 2016. And the parliamentary disagreements comes down to MP's refusing to deliver the results of that referendum.

@yeronlyman they should deliver on the result end of story and leave deal or no deal , no second referendum

@PikachuTrainer whether people were calling or not is not relevant 2+ years in a stalemate.

Should the people not have a say on the stalemate, as you say rightly, the politicians won’t deliver. There is much at stake. Put the options to the people. Simple as.

@Nyloncapes see what I said above ☝🏻

The ineptitude Of the politicians...
Yes leave with or without a deal... why not let the people decide that
PikachuTrainer · 31-35, M
@yeronlyman actually it is, because it all comes down to people's agendas, the 2+ years of Stalemate is, like I said, because politicians do not want to deliver what the people want, along with those years we have had people calling for a Second Referendum, claiming that Brexiteers did not know what they were voting for (a survey actually suggests we knew more of what we voted for more than remainers), we have been called racist (despite the fact we are leaving a political conglomerate that does not serve any useful purpose), referred to as being stupid, lacking in education etc. etc. Do you really think this is all about 2+ years of stalemate or are you going to admit this is a continuation of a campaign to disrupt/end democracy by those who supposedly preach it when said democracy suits them?

@yeronlyman I totally agree with that let people vote on deal or no deal, but the remainers want remain in EU on the ballot paper , that should not be on it
PikachuTrainer · 31-35, M
@Nyloncapes it is a means of splitting a vote, an attempt at rigging it to give remainers a bigger chance of winning.
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
@PikachuTrainer yes we know that, and they think by calling it a people's vote, they think we don't know it is just another referendum for the remainers, but they won't use them words, so they come up with people's vote

@PikachuTrainer I see its personal for you reference to “we”. I’m not calling you stupid BTW.

May went to the people in may 2017 in a miscalculation and got into bed with the DUP. Too many voices and chaos and not all anti brexit. Lay the cards on the table and if your politicians can’t decide let the people decide...
