@booboo why lazy?

@SW-User the rich and influential have always been around.. if you want to better yourself, your situation, and that of your family, then you have to work for it..that will never happen in your life by getting hand outs...stop relying on government (tax payer) money and freebies.. more government is not the answer..there are countless examples of failed socialism past and present, yet people are just too lazy (and stupid) to see it..

@booboo socialism is actually about ownership or control of the means of production, distribution, etc by the whole of society. The welfare state isn't directly socialist in reality.
My problem with capitalism is the divide it drives between rich and poor. Oxfam regularly monitor and state that now 50% of the world's wealth is owned by about 35 people down from about 100 only a few years ago. The continued concentration of enormous wealth and therefore power to so few individuals strikes me as flawed. The goal of the capitalism is one person owning virtually everything.

@SW-User hahaha...it's like i'm talking to my wife, who, when starting to lose the argument, changes the subject...thanks for the laugh

@SW-User are you not watching what is happening in Venezuela? 🙄

@booboo so people who aren't rich and influential are lazy and stupid?
I may point out that the rich and influential consistently rely on government hand outs.....but it's ok for them?

@booboo good grief.....I've asked a question. Surprisingly, no answer 👍

@booboo I don't think Venezuela is failing due to socialism failing its failing due to corruption and incompetence. It has some of the largest oil reserves in the world. It should be rich but the failure is not purely because of socialism I'd suggest.

@SW-User nothing to do with the economic sanctions and withholding billions of their own dollars from them by US and UK central banks?
SW-User
@gol979 not helping but @booboo implied it was due to socialism

@SW-User yep but giving reasons such as corruption (it exists but no more than in our beloved democracies, probably less) and incompetence (they should have expanded their economy along side oil but they didnt) rather than more obvious and much more detrimental reasons muddies the water further imo
