And, for something completely different... the Baby-trump claims he is "a young and vibrant man." And, his fans now thinks he is what "young and vibrant" looks like as they pass the big ole bucket of KFC to each other without wiping their fingers, of course.

@MarkPaul One of our local political commentators noted how old the leading Presidential candidates on both sides of US politics are. Trump, Biden and Sanders are all at the age where they would have been tapped on the shoulder and retired in most other countries. I am not sure what this says about US politics. But its not good.

@whowasthatmaskedman On the other hand, there is something to be said for experience in governing instead of hiring someone only because of his/her age or because of a desire to see what a self-proclaimed 72-year old "young and vibrant man" can do. I've seen the damage that can be done.
Would people generally prefer an airline pilot with seasoned experience and a doctor with a track record or someone whose main qualification is she/he is an outsider with a "fresh face?"

@MarkPaul But there is a "use by date" on people. It would be nice to have some experience, with a good shelf life left. Say late 40s to early 60s?

@whowasthatmaskedman I'm not convinced there is. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are in their 70's and their voices and capabilities are still relevant. Same with Paul McCartney. Benjamin Franklin was an old coot, but still relevant in his '80's. I don't like the idea of disposing people because they reach a stamped-on shelf life. And, the new generally accepted retirement age is now 67 and moving up.
There's not going to be much to look forward to if some central committee decides you're only best if used by a certain age.

@MarkPaul Performers talent is a little different. And I agree there are exceptions. But all three front runners well into their seventies and running a leading world power being steered through a turbulent time?

@whowasthatmaskedman I just don't think age is or should be the determining factor. Brain power, intellect, decency, knowledge and experience are all reasonable factors on which to base a hiring decision. I don't think being 37 years old is a disqualifier; I'm not convinced 76 is either. And neither does the Constitution.
If the person is mentally disabled at any age, that's a problem. If he/she has the energy, interest, and wits, then let her/him participate, contribute, and stand. A human body and mind that is not abused, exercised, and cared for can function well into the 100's. That doesn't mean EVERY 100 year old is qualified, but disqualifying for age alone seems antiquated.
This is the 21st century! And, the idea that America needs to be just like other countries seems a bit Baby-trumpian, if you ask me.

@MarkPaul I accept your points. But still see all contenders as "Yesterdays People" and I dont think they are the answer. On the other hand, I really dont know there is an easy answer for America.

@MarkPaul Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders are elderly CAREER lifer politicians who've only made their 1% wealth for just being freakin' lifer POLITCIANS...where neither one has EVER ran a business, thus never having the stress of having to make payroll OR having to deal with paying overhead expenses as a CEO or a PRIVATE business owner to be able still make payroll and a profit....yet you TDS minded "progressives" want these elderly LIFER politicians and/or the 20 something Democrats running for Office to have CONTROL over our country's purse strings of our COUNTRY'S currently BOOMING economy for ALL under President Trump just because you're all stilling suffering from TDS?
Eh, our MSM, Twitter, FB and all the other social media websites THINK that comments on their SOCIAL MEDIA websites reflect as to the pulse of the American people....nope it does not. Those in Hollyweird and those living on the West and East coast living in their own "progressive" bubble STILL haven't a clue as to why Hillary lost NOR a clue as to why no matter who the Democrat nominee is, they will also lose to President Trump in 2020.

@ZedsLeppelin2 It seems the only people who can't get over Hillary losing the election and who don't know why she lost are the devoted cult fans of the failing and gutless Baby-trump.
Being given family money, being bailed out of repeated financial trouble by his father, declaring bankruptcy 6 times so he didn't have to pay his employees and contractors, and not paying taxes are not signs of success or experience that are worth worshiping, let alone rewarding.
It should be and most likely is obvious to even the most dishonest Baby-trump fan that the TV editing done to make the victim crying Baby-trump look like a leader on a reality TV show doesn't seem to be carrying over to the real world. He demonstrates zero leadership, he's a laughing stock around the world (and yes, the USA is part of that world), and most of the people who have worked closest to him (not counting family) have either implied he is or directly called him a moron.
Stop believing everything Baby-trump says for the only reason he said it out of some twisted love you have of a TV celebrity and re-start thinking for yourself (if you ever did in the first place). And, for once and for all accept the fact that Hillary lost the election and isn't even a factor anymore. The Baby-trump isn't running against her and neither are you. Stop living in the past.
