@HerKing I just don't understand..when these people are lied to inside relationships how do they behave? do they behave the same or do they take steps to get rid of those people from their lives? do they become delusional and actually believe the lies and when they are presented with solid evidence of the lies do they toss it in the garbage and continue to project onto others? ...I mean..because even the smallest of things...like Sara Sanders making up boldfaced lies...they don't actually care if the government tells the truth....but they claim to.
@JaggedLittlePill Some do, there was a film made...Gaslight. It's about a husband who convinces his wife she's (Among other things) losing her sight by turning the lights lower until she's nearly mad.

Anyone is susceptible to gaslighting, and it is a common technique of abusers, dictators, narcissists, and cult leaders. It is done slowly, so the victim doesn't realize how much they've been brainwashed. For example, in the movie Gaslight (1944), a man manipulates his wife to the point where she thinks she is losing her mind.
