What I have heard is, Trump wanted illegals to be able to stay in Mexico to seek asylum there rather that come to the U.S. to do the same, that action was blocked by a judge. Trump has constantly threatened to shut down the border between Mexico and the U.S. Anyone with a brain would know that it would have been a mistake to do so. And I'm glad SOMEONE talked to him about it since he backed off that threat.

Most mayors of sanctuary cities have said they are planning to welcome illegal aliens with open arms. You can’t reason with an extremely small minority of agenda driven haters here on SW. @JT123

The current law requires that illegal aliens who make it into the US and file for asylum be released within 20 days. Release into sanctuary cities who have voted that they want the and have taxpayers willing to pay for education, health care and other services is the only sensible option. @SW-User

The 9th District Court of Appeals just approved President Trump's plan to require aliens to wait in Mexico for approval before entering the US. No more releasing into the US.

(Someone has been appointing sane judges to the 9th Circuit)

@jackjjackson And about that reply you sent me about the requirement for illegals to stay in Mexico. It’s temporary, so the appeals court will consider next week whether to extend that stay — and allow the Trump administration policy to remain in effect for longer.
