I'm close to retirement and my portfolio has gained more in the last two years than the previous 4 years.
Our business has grown, my income has increased.
That's not all because of the president, but still I'll take it

@JovialPlutonian I didn't gain anything more than my fellow Democrats, the market didn't go up just for Republicans. The owners of the company I work for are true blue Democrats, but they are glad to have the added business and are constantly hiring more people and increasing wages.
I don't see how that is me just looking out for myself.
If you have retirement funds or any money in the market you have benefited as much as I have.

@GJOFJ3 And how do you support anyone else by voting for a party that only looks to support the rich, that's what conservatism is. It's creates hierarchy and social status. If you're not from a privileged background you can't become wealthy you just work to make the division between the rich and poor wider, this is what you support. How is this not comprehendable? How do conservatives not understand this is what they support or do you????

@JovialPlutonian Define rich. And we feel sorry for those poor democrats, like Nancy Pelosi, she does so much for others she has to live in a tent in front of the Capital Building.

@sunsporter1649 why bother, you don't care for others, hence conservatism supports the individual not the community. You're more bothered about what you can get rather than what you can give to those that have nothing. If it were otherwise you would wake up and stop mocking those that wish to create change to benefit all. You don't need to reply as it makes no odds, you'll continue to do the same tomorrow and the next day and so on. There's millions worse off than you but you're still only concerned with how much more you can get.

@JovialPlutonian your premise is misguided. Being from Chicago and owning a business here at the time, I voted for Obama, because he promised to help bring jobs and opportunities especially for the underprivileged. Unfortunately that didn't happen. A thriving economy helps everyone.
You could easily argue that the Clinton economy was really good for the rich, because it was, but it was also good for everyone else, including me.
