Trump is the ultimate “Heads I win, Tails you lose.”

If I win the election it was fair. If I lose the election it was corrupt. If Mueller does not help he is corrupt. If he helps he is fair.

The ultimate narcissist.

And his example is filtering down, not just to other politicians, but to the rest of society.

Blaming others, attacking and seeing those you disagree with as being enemies and not accepting any personal reponsibility, are increasingly seen as acceptable behavior, and what makes Great Americans.

@MistyCee I was saying to a friend how it doesn't seem like there are adults anymore.
@SW-User Acting like an adult doesnt seem to pay off in politics for sure at the moment, and its really hard to deal with a child without getting down to his level, especially when he's had success throwing tantrums.

Trump has had plenty of success, and still seems to have a few adults trying to protect him from consequences.

I don't see him growing up or things changing, until the voters decide to discipline him.

@MistyCee I am beginning to think is merely mirroring what he sees among a group of people that have been largely ignored. It's the way a "baby" will often mimic the facial expressions of others he/she is exposed to which usually attracts attention, so the baby keeps on doing it.
@MarkPaul Hmm, I'm not sure I'd go down to the infant level, but he's certainly speaking to certain groups in a way they understand, and he repeats what works.

I still think your baby Trump thing is a little simplistic though. Trump seems to have a lot of more serious older role models that he has learned things from. Babies don't usually figure out the big lie technique or master the art of scapegoating, for example.

@MistyCee I'm not convinced he's figured it out as much as he was handed a template to copy. Little kids can do amazing things when they are given pictures to trace. It's usually a starting point for art appreciation. Some kids advance to copying and then to creating their own artwork. Others never advance. The Baby-trump seems to be stuck with tracing.

Consider how he furiously repeats lies. That's basically tracing from the template Roy Cohen gave him. There is nothing new there; it's the same tactic over and over again. Notice how he self-congratulates himself on most things. He's simply tracing a lesson he learned early on from never getting the recognition he craved (and still does) from others. And, his professed love for Putin, Kim, and other people he considers "strong" is just a template response for not getting love from his father which he never accepted and never moved on from.

I wish I could get you to see just what a simpleton he really is and why that is what makes him so attractive and addictive to his cult-like followers.
@MarkPaul I see what you're saying, but 1) I don't like the whole innocent baby angle, and 2) I don't think he should be underestimated.

I also see a lot of toddler like behavior and the kind sophisticated bullying you see more with older, even preadolescent boys
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@MistyCee Oh... I don't think he is innocent and I acknowledge he is a 72 year old adult. He just has never learned how to act like one. And, sadly, that's all part of the show.
@MarkPaul I know, but he really reminds me more of a 9 year old Mordred torturing and killing animals than a cute little toothless baby.
@MarkPaul It's the way a 'Bully' behaves, try to insult and degrade them. And he has people who are enabling and by doing that they are encouraging him.

@softspokenman The enabling by an entire political party.
@SW-User Indeed.
