You should see a greenies head explode when you suggest nuclear energy is emissions free... lolz
Using counterweights and pulleys we can keep the catapults green. No carbon footprint, just a distant puff of dust over on the Mexican side of the border. @TheOneyouwerewarnedabout
Wouldn’t it be ironic if the catapults had been made in Mexico?
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout well i don't know about what "greenies" are

[c=#BF0080]but i DO Know that[/c]
molten sodium reactors are the better kind
and thorium powered too so cheap to fuel and cant melt down
and the UR/PU reactors DO produce toxic by products,
ask at Chernobyl and three mile.,
they just don't contribute co2,

@DukeOfEarle You can make 'em skip, if you get the angle just right.
I remember seeing some special about that and how the NRC refuses to use it! I don’t recall the specifics but wow. Truly clean energy and they refuse to use (if of course the report I watched is true)@plaguewatcher
Oh jesus. 😂@Budwick

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Nuclear is the only sane near-term choice. Even the ipcc accepts this. Crunchy hippies don’t, but fuck’em. The only ones who are more retarded are the dumb fucks trying to hang onto coal.
@DukeOfEarle it IS true,, the US dept of energy choose the PU/UR style so it could make nuclear weapon components

has we gone with thorium/liquid sodium? we would be waaaay ahead
when the CHINESE came to the us instalation in tennasee?
is was the ONLY thing they wanted to see.
@QuixoticSoul i prefer a diversified energy sourcing. use what works in the places most effective.. Kansas is harveting wind very well thanks
solar is fine in part of the country.
<shaking my head> That’s just bloody criminal@plaguewatcher
@DukeOfEarle what is bloody criminal? im unclear
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@plaguewatcher Intermittent renewable sources backed up by batteries are fine - as long as you also have another power plant to crank up for those times when there is no wind or sun.
Its criminal they are not further ahead with the thorium power plants@plaguewatcher
