Please don't let bad behavior drive you away. It's possible to talk, and even fight a bit over politics without getting personal, much less mean and rude.
At least it is, until all the people who like to do that leave.
Btw, I know blocking is a way some people deal with that, and not just with politics, but it's not the only way, or necessarily the best.
Sometimes, for example, logging off and taking a break but coming back, is, IMO better, because you might have gotten people at a bad moment, when they needed a fight, and you were just an available victim instead of a discussion partner.
