Theresa May celebrates Brexit success!

This time her deal was defeated in Parliament by *only* 149 and not 230. Its an improvement. 😆#takebackcontrol.

Honor the vote of its citizens? @SW-User

@jackjjackson But alas, how?

There doesn’t have to be a “deal”. Britain quits and does what the EU says based on the original formation agreement. @SW-User

@jackjjackson Dude, you gotta go over there and tell them this!

@SW-User There is a chance of no deal Brexit. MPs do have the power to overrule the govt under our parliamentary system and, though there is no consensus on any Brexit deal, most mps do not want a no deal Brexit.

Also May could try to seek an election or referendum to give her a mandate. Or she could play for more time.

The clock is ticking Burnsie. @Burnley123

@Burnley123 I'm impressed with her ability to not yell "FUCK YOU ALL. I QUIT!"

@SW-User The "No Deal" Brexit the smart money people always wanted.

@whowasthatmaskedman I'm for it too now -- I want some chaos.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@SW-User The chaos will be in the media. Those in the know have already made their deals to carve up the profits amongst themselves. This is their chance to dump tons of regulation.

Our pal Burnsie probably has himself lined up to make a killing 😀 @SW-User @whowasthatmaskedman

@jackjjackson The capitalist version of the "Golden Rule." reads. "He who has the Gold, makes the Rules." And that is what is about to happen.

The UK can leave without a deal. Whatever happens as a result will be what the people voted for.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@suzie1960 A no deal Brexit would be a disaster. Also, it wasn't on the referendum.

Brexit itself is a disaster. The only difference between deal and on deal is how big a disaster.
Also, it wasn't on the referendum.
I disagree. The choice was simply "leave" or "remain". As the Brexiters are fond of saying, "leave means leave". There was nothing in the referendum about agreeing a deal with the EU. Any deal leaves us with some ties to the EU so leaving without a deal more precisely complies with he referendum result.

Your government is trying to sell you out. @suzie1960
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@suzie1960 On the first point we agree. On the second point, leave means leave is not a mandate for a no deal Brexit. Farage and Gove were talking about the Norway model but everyone forgets that now.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
There were no box to check that read “let the government f**k it up.” @Burnley123

I doubt they'd want a deal like Norway. They were going on about taking back control of our borders but Norway is in the Schengen zone - no border control. ;)
