Why can't the GOP admit there's no wall being built? Why did he not build it when he had full control for 2 years?

It’s one of those things that has become more valuable to the party as an “issue” than it would be completed. If they actually built it that would be one less thing motivating the base to go vote.

Some money was already allocated in the budget to wall maintenance. Trump has been advertising that, as building the wall. He lies, lies and then lies some more.

He instructs his staff, and the press staff to lie.

He set the stage for how he handles things, on day 1, with the inaugural crowd size, and this is how it's going to be, until he's no longer in office.

Iin 2020, 22 GOP Senate seats are up for grabs. Vote, and yes, vote him out as well.

It's a falacy. He must lie to his base to retain their support. I believe there have been areas of barrier repair. He had money already in the coffers for that.
I fully believe that he didnt push it when there was total rep control because he wanted this fight. He can make all sorts of bogus claims against the left to further separate us as a nation. It is typical behavior of a control freak and narcissist.

That’s the 6 mil question. He wouldn’t have had the Democrats to blame if he’d done it when the GOP controlled both houses. And in spite of the SOTU rhetoric, he lives as a partisan president.
