Can you, personally, discuss politics without insulting people?
If you find yourself tempted to insult someone over politics (or another contentious issue), do you back out of the discussion or let the flame war begin?

In that I have that [b]ability[/b], yes. But when it’s an issue really important to me, I give what I get. I won’t be nasty if the other person also remains civil. Occasionally, though, when I’ve felt that I was dealing with a real moron I just blocked them and was done with it.

@bijouxbroussard I usually give someone a couple chances to prove they're not a moron, but if their idea of political discussion is memes and insults, then I'll probably block them.
