No, because people who play in the game of politics are stupid ignorant sheep sucking the dicks of their party overlords
I can, and when the insults start to fly, I usually back off, but sometimes I grab some popcorn.

In person, yes. Online, my approach is too direct. Someone is always insulted

I think I can discuss politics without insulting anyoe but when it comes to things related to culture and society,I could be offensive ..not purposely though ..but I think I would apologise for it but wouldnt let my stand down .

In that I have that ability, yes. But when it’s an issue really important to me, I give what I get. I won’t be nasty if the other person also remains civil. Occasionally, though, when I’ve felt that I was dealing with a real moron I just blocked them and was done with it.

@bijouxbroussard And I happen to agree with virtually all that you say politically!

@bijouxbroussard I usually give someone a couple chances to prove they're not a moron, but if their idea of political discussion is memes and insults, then I'll probably block them.

I think it is easier in person. Here it just is too easy to move right to insults. I usually answer in the same tone as the response I am reacting to.

I do both depending on what I’m faced with and how I feel. Sometimes I just laugh.

Best way to discuss ideas is as dispassionately as possible and avoid personal insults. When people start to use strong language aimed at the person they disagree with, I tend to think they have run out of ideas and it's best to retire from the discussion.
