The Klan hood was invented by democrats
@redredred And worn in rallies like the one in Charlottesville by Republicans.

Please prove that. I can prove democrats fomulated the Klan at the Maxwell House tavern in Tennessee@anythingoes477
@redredred No you can't. The KKK was founded in it's day by a group of people who basically equal what a political PAC is today. NOT the Democratic Party. It was never a part of that party's platform. Doing something FOR a party does not make them a part of that party. The "PAC" that originated the KKK simply a splinter hate group supported the ideals of the Democrat party of the time. That was in the 1860's.......by the end of the 1860's the two parties had begun to reverse roles....for what they stood for. That transition lasted until the 1960's when the Republican Party still favored labor unions, healthcare for all, the preservation of Social Security, etc. Reagan believed ALL of those things and they were even mentioned in his Inaugural Address. By the 1960's the Parties had come full circle for changing identities of pre-1860. What the Dems once stood for----the Republicans now stand for and vice versa. Learn some history. So in effect the KKK was done under the Dem party heading--but those ideals were full adopted by the republican Party in a matter of a few years.
@redredred If you need pictures of who wore KKK hats and symbols and carried the flags at Charlottesville--try GOOGLE. If you still can't make the connection to White Supremacy---the Republican Party--look at the KKK webpage--where you'll see one of the KKK's flags is the Confederate War flag. Now look at this link to see that it's the KKK that supports Trump.... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/11/01/the-kkks-official-newspaper-has-endorsed-donald-trump-for-president/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.026219b56a7a

You know instead of depending on others you disagree with to prove you are wrong---why not just know your facts in the beginning? Then you won't have to worry about it. Surely you're not too lazy to Google 2-3 items.

@redredred Let's put this lie to bed. The KKK had both party members and were talking about history from 70 years ago. Things change. Move on.

@anythingoes477 Had someone say it was a democratic conspiracy and that they had rewrote history. I didn't even try to argue after that. Conspiracy theories are a psychological issue. Cant help those people as the ideas are a self preserving entity.
