Ladies and gentlemen, do you support the government funding "the wall" and actively enforcing immigration laws?

@curiosi Democrats will say this is racist
SW-User
@curiosi You have awful reading comprehension.
curiosi · 61-69, F
@nedkelly It's the only thing they can say as they don't have any reason to oppose it.

@curiosi Our borders are protected and defended. When is the last time an invading army came through the southern border?

And no, immigrants are not an invading army, no matter what Faux News says.

@SW-User it's funny how you're not putting up a graph showing how much illegal immigrants are such a burden on taxpayers. Not 17.1 billion but 116 billion
SW-User
@xRedx You were implying that the country was lax on enforcement. I was addressing that. For all I know you think the graph supports your position as funding increases fizzle-out. Don't fear information.
xRedx · M
@SW-User I don't know how building better borders, securing those borders better and enforcing our immigration laws is lax enforcement.

@curiosi Question. Why the Obama inclusion? Do you have ANY freaking idea how many people the Obama Administration deported?
Wait. Of course you don't. I have seen your posts. You're a joke. Just like that childish meme. What was I thinking?

@xRedx https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/fact-check-how-much-does-illegal-immigration-cost-america-not-n950981

This talks about true costs, the biggest being education. Illegal immigrants pay into social security and taxes and never get any return on that.

While real numbers on illegals are hard to come by really, no one thinks its as high as $116 Billion.
@curiosi

Seems sort of like you're being awfully liberal with your interpretation of "hostile foreign invasion".
Seems that in context this is referring to armed assault or attack, not people coming to live in america....
xRedx · M
@Pherick It doesn't matter if how it's distributed, they are abusing both the welfare and education system that is entitled to American citizens. And again you're wrong, the yearly cost is in fact 116 billion. Check your sources
Pherick · 41-45, M
@xRedx I did, sorry not wrong. I notice you did not post any sources.
xRedx · M
@Pherick you can Google them yourself. And yes, you are wrong.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@xRedx LOL nope. Not how debate works. If you have sources that contradict mine, please feel free to share them. If not, you are wrong.
@xRedx
you can Google them yourself. And yes, you are wrong.
Yeah...that's a tacit admission that you don't have a source.

He is not responsible for proving your points for you.
You either source your claim or you have necessarily conceded the point whether you like it or not.

Sorry, them's the rules.

@xRedx 116 billion 😂😂😂👌

Bro I don’t know what you’re smoking over there but it must be some shit.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@xRedx Thats not a source, thats a screenshot. Come on, seriously, if you have a real source, post it.\

EDIT: Nevermind, your picture has a IRLI in the top corner, Immigration Reform Law Institute. Which is incorparted under the organisation FAIR, FEDERATION FOR AMERICAN IMMIGRATION REFORM, which is considered a hate group.

@QuixoticSoul I didn't conduct the studies. It doesn't matter if it's significantly less or more, they shouldn't even be here and it's a burden on taxpayers.

@xRedx Sorry I can't except hate groups as a real source. I would imagine they have a bit of a bias.

xRedx · M
@Pherick I gave you a source and you're simply dismissing it. That's on you. Even if the yearly cost is significantly less or significantly more, any amount of money they're costing the taxpayers is way too much because they shouldn't be here. That's my point
SW-User
@xRedx Shouldn't be here is not the same as illegal. There are guest worker programs that could be implemented. Lots of countries use them. Republicans are standing in the way.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@xRedx The government conducts studies into this question regularly. Time and time again, illegal immigrants are an economic net gain.

That doesn’t make illegal immigration ok, but it does make the financial angle used by the right kinda dumb.
