He said he was and the Nazis have the title socialist in their name. They both ran Germany like socialists do everywhere so yes Hitler was a socialist.

@Really I guess you didn't read beyond that line. The trouble with socialists and socialism is that it never accepts its flaws. The minute you point out that Hitler was a socialist all the other socialists deny it. The same goes for Stalin or Mao or Pol Pot or Castro or Chavez or........ All the other socialists hold them in high esteem until their disasters are exposed and suddenly they are no longer socialists.
