What was wrong with "don't ask don't tell" everyone knew anyway
@MarineBob Remember that one scene in An Officer and A Gentleman where Sergeant Foley and Sid totally violated that policy?
Granted, that was IMO one of the few "intelligent" things Clinton did. I served from 68 to 80-USAF. Ran across a number of men who were "gay" and in the service, prior to the Don't ask, Don't tell. One, didn't know him personally, was an AF member, a Viet-Nam vet, injured (p/h) but was outed by another troop. He was forced out-I think if memory serves me, he then ended his life. The man's record was exemplary. Tragic.@MarineBob
