soon. Huge win for the President The President by stating his case succinctly and effectively in a resolutely presidential manner won.

Sure, but wasting taxpayer money by detaining illegal immigrants in American jails and then prosecuting each and every one individually in a court of law with the intention of incarcerating them in the United States is perfectly fine.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick the president is bound by the laws of the land. Congress writes the laws. You might need a civics
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955 Which is funny because I took civics and you didn't. The detaining of illegal immigrants for the purposes of prosecution was made possible by an executive order and not Congress. But you didn't know that.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick the courts have decreed that anyone caught is entitled to a hearing. BTW whose. Executive order are you referring tio?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955 Trump's. I strongly disapprove of Barack Obama and most of his politics but one thing I give him credit for is is the reasonable immigration executive order that he signed. Trump, on the other hand, made a terrible mistake by ordering that all illegals caught in the US must be detained and tried, rather than just deported.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick you may want to check your facts. You also may want to visit the border and talk to the people involved. Your misinformation is mind blowing
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955 Sorry to tell you but I've already checked my facts and they're correct. See unlike you, I actually seek out this information instead of making it up myself. But that's what happens when you get all your information about current events from "introspection." Your misinformation is mindblowing.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
You must have dozed during civics. The immigration law does not have an illegal immigrant category they are legally illegal aliens. The president graciously referred to them as illegal migrants (meaning on their way somewhere but not arriving anywhere legally at present). @BlueMetalChick
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@jackjjackson So being correct when you're wrong means I "dozed off during civics." Sorry, I should instead ignore the facts and pull opinions out of my ass like you.

But yeah, I agree, fuck taxpayers and fuck the working class. Force them to pay for the detaining, prosecution, and eventual incarceration of undocumented immigrants instead of simply deporting them.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
The Dems have obstructed the sensible action of simple deportation of illegal aliens. See we agree yet again. @BlueMetalChick
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@jackjjackson Obstructed it? The last democratic president is the one who signed an executive order to do just that. He deported more people than any president in US history. But once again you just completely fucking ignore than, make up shit of your own, and then act like I'm supposed to do the same.
room101 · 51-55, M
@jackjjackson "The immigration law does not have an illegal immigrant category they are legally illegal aliens."

😂😂😂

Oh my dear lord 😂😂😂 Did you "parse" the immigration laws 😂😂😂
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Try reading it. The term “illegal immigrant” has been made up libs.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@jackjjackson Are you fucking kidding me? You're gonna try to change the subject from deportation vs. incarceration to what the proper term for a person who enters a country against the law is? I can't take you seriously if that's your intended vector.
room101 · 51-55, M
@jackjjackson You really are special. In the context of immigration, illegal alien and illegal immigrant means the same bloody thing.

🤦‍♂️
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Nope. Not according to the law. An immigrant has to be legal to be an immigrant. A might is someone “on the way” who may or may not be legal. Once in without following law there is only one category - illegal alien. It may work differently over there. The way it works here makes total sense. @room101
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@jackjjackson You're actually going to get upset about the labels used to refer to people who have entered the United States against the law. And you're supposed to be part of the group that doesn't give a fuck about feelings and sensitivity and labels and respecting what people wanna be called.

Read the law. @room101
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@jackjjackson Alright, what are we arguing about? Because this started as an argument about the decision to detain illegal immigrants rather than deport them.
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick He won't know the difference. I'm assuming
room101 · 51-55, M
@BlueMetalChick Anybody rational knows that the real argument is about the zero tolerance strategy instigated by trump and implemented by Jeff Sessions. It started with trumps campaign promise to build a wall that Mexico was going to pay for, moved to separating families and locking children in cages, to fear mongering about a caravan invading your southern border and has now reached a government shutdown over a wall that nobody in their right mind wants.

What Jack is attempting to do is deflect his bullshit by insisting that there is a difference between an illegal immigrant and an illegal alien. Any rational person knows that his argument in both pointless and nonsense.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
The term “illegal immigrant” appears nowhere in US immigration law. Prove otherwise or move on along. @room101
room101 · 51-55, M
@jackjjackson For somebody who used the word "parse" umpteen times in our last exchange, you sure as hell don't have a friggin' clue how to apply it.

Grow up.

@jackjjackson
The term “illegal immigrant” appears nowhere in US immigration law. Prove otherwise or move on along.
That's not what the argument is about. The original comment was posted by me, and at no point in my comment did I ever try to tell you that the term "illegal immigrant" is the official nomenclature. You're making up a fake argument so that you don't have to pay attention to what I actually said.

Stay on topic. Otherwise, move on along.
