I want women and children protected from slavers and traffickers, I want the flow of fentanyl and deadly drugs to stop, I want people from everywhere to think their own country is awesome so that they want to stay there, and I want people to have some GD respect for our laws...and the only way THAT will happen is if the clowns in Congress work longer days than 2 hours, like they did before New Years, and get the eff to work and fix our immigrations law.

The immigration problem has been around since the 70s that I remember. This isn’t a new thing. A good start would be DACA but we all know trump can’t be trusted with that.

Border security was completed in a much more open and competent manner than now. There are some real pawns in charge now that I have NO trust in.
Thank goodness they quit a lot of the stupidity that ICE was doing in the beginning.

Who brings a sick child on a trek similar to that taken by our early pioneers bears much more responsibility than our border patrol and our overloaded shelters. I consider that child abuse.

You can blame the USA all you like, but there were jobs available in Mexico, but that wasn't good enough for these people. They are dropping their kids over 30 fences, and I heard one mother today say that she abandoned four of her children and went on to the US with only one of them.

I didn’t see the hatred you mentioned.
There are countries besides Mexico that look to the US as a refuge. That is what the Statue of Liberty is all about. The problem is we have a racist administration. The children do not have to die and I look to the incompetence of Homeland Security as the cause. They didn’t have to die except for the children’s mishandling. Everyone knows that trump could care less if children are separated from children until trump is called out and embarrassed in public.
