Honestly, I’ve been ready. I was in high school during Watergate and remember how we kept hearing daily reports about different people closer and closer to Nixon who were being implicated until the only question that remained was what he knew. And when it was proven that Nixon had known what was going on, game over. But the GOP overall apparently followed the rule of law back then.
We already know that Trump was an active part of the scandals that have brought down his advisers and lawyers, some of whom are even facing jail time. I’m pretty sure Trump would never voluntarily resign, and it may come to the point where he’s taken out, sobbing, in handcuffs, before his remaining supporters understand what’s going on. If the GOP wasn’t so corrupt it would’ve already occurred.
Waiting in hopeful anticipation. And waiting the same for all the other criminal investigations into Trump, his family, and his cronies being conducted outside the Mueller investigation.
@ChipmunkErnie Dont get over enthusiastic. I believe, like most, that there will be a can of worms in this and with everything thats coming, I can see his family in major legal trouble. But since the Republicans are now riding the Tiger they cant be seen to get off, they will run up to the next election protecting him to cling to power. After that, the scale of the disaster for them is all we can talk about. Any serious criminal prosecutions will be held back so he is out of office and cant pardon himself. Interestingly, I have reason to believe that the Trump "empire" will turn out to be hollow financially and collapse. Of course, there will always be a lazy few $ Million stashed under the floorboards for a rainy day. But this Presidential debacle will cost them a lot. (as it should)
@whowasthatmaskedman The best news is that Trump, his family, and his cronies are under investigation not just by Federal authorities outside the Mueller Investigation, but are the subject of state-level investigations which the GOP Senate has no control over at all.
@hunkalove It will either amount to not much or a lot , no-one really has any jdea at this point in time.
Agree with your other point though , Trump's greatest legal exposure will come out of New York , whether that's the AG or the SDNY remains to be seen. It looks like they're going in hard on his golf club's hiring of illegal immigrants now too. All in all he has a great deal to be very worried about.
Sure. I predict a litany of pronouncements of bad acts not crimes followed by Dem whining and unending House investigations of nothing which will go nowhere and waste a lot more of our tax dollars.
[@ You're right about polititions. I spoke to a Supreme Court justice a few years ago and asked how it was dealing with politions? His answer was, 20% are here to do good. 40% are here because they probably couldn't find a job elsewhere. The other 20% is here for the office with the fireplace and the limo service.
