For some reason, he likes to resurrect the 'past'. He has a few modern tractors on a working tobacco farm, leases the large ones actually, but owns the abandoned 'strays' as he calls them, which apparently follow him home from the local farm auction site.

The latest one he had to give a home to for the night, is a McCormick-Deering 10-20, steel wheels, steel seat, and... he even has the original owner's manual which is in mint condition from the 1930's I think he said. The reason I know at least this much about it, is because he is a Ham Radio Operator (still to this day) and sits in the attic at home on the farm 'keying' his cronies over in Norway at 2am. My job is to write out the technical details for him on a piece of paper so that he can send it with an even flow. Yes, some guys still live in the 'underground world'! When I ask him why he doesn't just use my cell phone to call Norway, he looks at me like I'm totally out to lunch! Sadly, he still has an 8-track in his `69 Ford F150 which nobody but him actually knows how to use.
