Is Trump TRYING to be an @$$hole??

I go out to Christmas lunch with family, I come back a few hours later and see Trump has been fielding phone calls from kids for Christmas. So far so good. Then I read he is complaining to them about having to work over Christmas. Okay.. Its Trump. What did you expect? THEN I read he is quizzing a seven year old about his belief in Santa because "at seven years its marginal you know". Jezuss effing christ!! I watched Scrooged on TV last night and Bill Murrays father the butcher had more of a feel for Christmas than this B@$t@rd.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Good point.. Probably not. I guess its me struggling with the notion that anything evolved enough to be considered human would have the ignorance and selfishness to support him. I know there are good Americans out there.

@VictoryOrValhalla Trump is barely happening to me at all. I am pretty much immune to any financial irritation he might cause. But as a human being with a little empathy who doesnt regard the American population as a food source, I feel sorry for all the people he gets to hurt as he bounces from one stupid self inflicted disaster to the next.

Did you see his tweet about him working while his family is in Mar A Lago? Millions of Americans work even on Christmas Day. Jeez.

@SimplyTracie General George S Patton, Commander of the US Third Army considered himself a Prima Donna. He threw tantrums if he didn’t get his way. He even slapped a soldier who was suffering from an unknown postfeminist of PTSD.

BUT!!!

Patton never lost a battle, already had the US in Germany and would have ended the war by Christmas and would have prevented the Cold War but we let the British ruin that.

@VictoryOrValhalla Some people are people of their time. Patton was, like Churchill and great leader and motivator in time of war. But useless at peace, since he was no diplomat.
But (and here is the important bit) Patton researched and studied, planned, and moved all his chess pieces to support his plan. He also assembled a fine team of Advisors and LISTENED to them.
Trump is NO Patton.

@VictoryOrValhalla I don’t study military history but wasn’t General Patton relieved of his duties?

Also, I’m guessing that General Patton would not leave Iran or Afghanistan until ISIS is 100% defeated. I might be wrong but it’s my guess.

I will say this and I’m done. I share my thoughts and opinions knowing full well that I know nothing. But I do enjoy the banter that goes on with these discussions.

@SimplyTracie Patton was a warrior but there is a time to make peace. Trump is a peace president and America has been at war for so long it forgets what peace is.

@SimplyTracie I mean no disrespect in any of what I say by the way. But no Patton, was told he couldn’t be part of the Normandy Campaign after his incident in Sicily until Ike realized they needed Patton to break out of the Normandy stalemate

But it also worked as an act of deception because he was opening tooling oround sothern England in charge of a Phantom Army and Hitler would not believe the Allies would not send Patton in the spearhead of the main invasion. He held reinforcements back for weeks waiting for Pattons Attack at Calais.

@VictoryOrValhalla Monty and Patton were quite alike. In the case of Market Garden, Monty Inexplicably rushed through without his usual meticulous planning and paid for it. Or rather his troops did. Hubris, followed by Nemesis?
