haha I want to take them out of just about everywhere.. there was once a saying, the sun never set on the British Empire cause their military was everywhere on the globe or like the Romans before them all over Europe and the Mediterranean. it's unsustainable.. we're spread too thin. we don't need to be everywhere.

@Coppercoil The version of that I heard was "The Sun will never set on the British Empire, because God doesnt trust the pommies in the dark". But your point is well made. The thing that has changed is that distances have shrunk as travel and communications have expanded. Global reach is now possible.

@whowasthatmaskedman yes I agree it's not an exact match.. technology introduces new variables to a very complex equation.
