There should be a maximum voting age

just like there is a minimum age. why should someone over 70 that doesnt contribute anything to society still be allowed to vote... especially about topics that wont affect them anymore.

On the other side, I think the vote should count more as you get older. Elderly people are much less likely to get fooled by any snake-oil seller.

@Cierzo This is actually demonstrably untrue - the elderly are [b]far[/b] more likely to be victims of various scams. This is a serious and widespread concern. Something like three billion dollars a year are stolen from the elderly in various scams.

The elderly need their hands held when it comes to snake oil sellers, and their adult children need to track their spending, email, etc. Sucks, but that's where we are.

@QuixoticSoul I was actually trolling, this kind of posts do not deserve another answer.

However, I seriously think that parents should have an extra vote for each child until they reach age of majority.
