Well there aren't really any communist countries in the world right now. There's some weirdly partial communist nations, like China and Cuba, but they still participate in competitive international economic exchange.

@Mariocrespo8546 Well, there's redeeming qualities to be had in Cuba. They have a fantastic medical community.

@BlueMetalChick It seems like some nations fall into a cycle of strong men taking charge as dictators, then their overthrow, then the new people become more and more dictatorial. Think of Russia, going from the Tsar to Stalin to Putin.
