Should the nuclear bombing of japan in WW2 be considered a war crime?

I know that america likes to style herself as the "good guy" but how is the death of tens of thousands of civilians and hundreds of thousands including radiation poisoning anything but a war crime?

So what if it was - and ? Now what.
@MarmeeMarch

Then that should be thing that is recognized and taught to american children with the hope that the future leaders of the country won't do it again.
@Pikachu Thats what happens when you go to war - people get killed. I hope that future leaders would never commit war crimes. Especially war crimes that the germans and the japanese people did to people long ago. I hope that when we teach American children about war crimes we teach them about all war crimes going back as far as documented history will permit.
@MarmeeMarch

...yeah, people get killed. That does not excuse the deliberate murder of civilians.
You still seem to be attempting (for some reason) to point out the atrocities committed by the japanese as if this has nay bearing on the subject.

But you asked so what if it was, i answered.
Are we done?
@Pikachu You are right the deliberate murder of citizens is most definitely wrong. We must never forget the unprovoked attacked by the empire of japan of starting the war. We must teach our children if not schools but in out homes that the japanese were the ones that started the war and we must note what barbaric tactics they used ie. kamikaze pilots to kill as many people as possible. And what atrocities that the japanese people did to their neighboring countries.
@MarmeeMarch

Sure.
So by the same token you agree that we must never forget the deliberate murder of tens of thousands of japanese citizens at the hands of the americans and that we shall teach it as what it was: a war crime perpetrated by the united states against innocent men, women and children.

Agreed?
@Pikachu Never forget -
@MarmeeMarch

So you agree or disagree?

Don't be a weasel. It's a simple question.
Why are you afraid to answer?
@Pikachu I said we should never forget the atrocities of war and what the japanese did to people. Agree never forget.
@MarmeeMarch

And by the same token you agree that we should never forget the atrocities committed by the americans.

Yes or no?
Don't be a coward.

Answer me.
