Should the nuclear bombing of japan in WW2 be considered a war crime?

I know that america likes to style herself as the "good guy" but how is the death of tens of thousands of civilians and hundreds of thousands including radiation poisoning anything but a war crime?

In August 1945, warning leaflets were dropped on several Japanese cities. ... on several Japanese cities (including, supposedly, Hiroshima and Nagasaki). ... or all of the cities named on the reverse side will be destroyed by American bombs.
@MarmeeMarch

ok....and?
@Pikachu Just wanted to clarify to you that we warned them - did they warn us ? No because it was a military objective -- we warned them so we would not kill innocent ppl.
@MarmeeMarch

But literally tens of thousands of innocent people were killed so please make your argument that giving warning that you're about to murder thousands of people mitigates the crime of murdering thousands of people.

Go on...
@Pikachu There is no argument to make - its either stay and die or leave and live. Is that too far fetched of an idea to grasp ?
@MarmeeMarch

There is no argument to make

lol oh, so then we agree.

So let's get this straight for the record: are you blaming the japanese who were nuked for not leaving or are you trying to argue that telling people you;re going to murder them makes it ok to murder them?
@Pikachu Blaming them for not leaving.
@Pikachu A guy comes at you with a loaded gun and tells you to leave or else - what do you do ?
@MarmeeMarch

Blaming them for not leaving.

lol OH! So you blame victims for what happens to them. Now it's all becoming clear.
And you even supply your own rope with which to hang yourself:

A guy comes at you with a loaded gun and tells you to leave or else - what do you do ?

LOL
If i tell him "no" does that make him shooting me less of a crime?
SHIT no! And even YOU will not argue that point.
You've argued against yourself and proven my point. Warning someone that you're about to commit a crime does not mean that no crime is then committed.

If you tell the shop keeper to hand over the cash or you'll shoot him, and when he doesn't you shoot him, you've still committed a crime.
If you warn people that your going to burn women and children to death and when they don't leave you burn women and children to death. YOU'VE STILL COMMITTED A CRIME!

This is going poorly for you...
@Pikachu
If i tell him "no" does that make him shooting me less of a crime?
It makes you a fool

If you want to call it a crime then go ahead if it makes you feel better - you think it is so simple that we wanted to do what we did - so crime ? yes it is a crime - just like there are justifiable crimes and premeditated crimes - different degrees of crimes. Do you think it was a crime that Japan had men that strapped explosives to themselves and purposely crashing into our ships in the name of the Empire was not a crime ?
@MarmeeMarch

yes it is a crime

Atta boy!😃

I knew you could do it! I'll call it a crime because that is what it was. You'll call it a crime because you realize that you're utterly incapable of making a case for why it wasn't.

And no, i make no excuses for what the japanese did.

I'm impressed that you were able to concede the point. I really didn't expect that.
Congratulations.
@Pikachu Ill call a spade a spade - Ill call a crime a crime -HOWEVER it was a crime that caught innocent people in the crosshairs DURING WAR TIME
@MarmeeMarch

It was a crime that deliberately and unavoidably targeted innocent people.
Yup, again we agree.
Not sure what case you feel you're making at this point.

It was a crime, we're agreed.
Closing my briefcase *click*
@Pikachu Dont close it just yet - OK close it --- Japan poked the sleeping giant. And being a big guy he went after them with a vengeance. But Mr. Giant has a big heart too he warned the attackers -- who does that ?
@MarmeeMarch bro, don’t let this clown get under you’re skin. Hes probably sitting in his basement covered in Cheeto dust and powdered jizz scouring the internet for conspiracies he can white-knight and talk shit about on the internet so he can feel that sense of power he’s never felt in the real world
@DrawntoaDistance Oh I know - I didn't say anything but a couple of early replies he got so excited that he was mispelling things right and left -- I just let it go because I did not want to make him feel bad. He must have been typing at 100 miles per hour.
