So if a fertilized egg is a human baby as much as a 1y baby-- then there are a bunch of things that would be the same as an abortion, right?

I mean the egg is fertilized in the fallopian tube and migrates to the uterus where it attaches.

Would preventing a fertilized egg to attach be killing a baby?

Like with birth control pills?

What if one changed one's pH or body temperature and fertilized egg failed to attach-- would that be homicide?

Or what if a woman ran a marathon?

Or used a pharmaceutical? Not the morning after pill?

Are all those homicide like killing a 1y baby?

So who are the panty and fallopian tube police going to be?

@CopperCicada Great points Copper... I do think abortion should be done as a LAST resort, if the baby will be harmed or the mother/if either will subsequently be at risk.... but as far as SOME people use it as birth control; I just don't agree with that. Yeah I also wonder WHO are going to be the panty police? :/
@Coralmist The abortion rate per capita is less today than the year before Roe v. Wade.

So if one wants to eliminate abortion overturning Roe is not the solution.

@CopperCicada Behaviours that cause unintentional abortion could, under this idea, be considered manslaughter. Can you imagine the number of people who could potentially be charged if doctors were forced to give up information on spontaneous abortions?

My other concern is that it could lead to limiting access to appropriate birth control.
@Bushranger Both concerns I have. It would impact birth control for sure.

@CopperCicada Let alone a woman's right to choice what to do with her body. Just another thought, would vasectomies be included in crimes against fetuses?
