So Trump continues to disrespect the military...

Marinebob: you okay with all this?

Belittling veterans, war prisoners, families of soldiers who died in combat serving the country, officers who have served the country honourably.

Didn't serve himself (bone spurs, apparently).

Doesn't honour the veterans of WWI because the rain might get his hair wet. Or go to Arlington because he was doing lots of call stuff from people, you know, for the country.

So how about it Bob? Still proud of our president?

Inasmuch as I am not Bob I’m disqualified from responding.

@jackjjackson oh, we'll except all comers.

But I was especially hoping to hear from Marinebob. We've played this "doesn't the President make you proud to be an American" game before. Right after the Helsinki debacle, as I recall.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Have you heard from him? @WoodyAq
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson Not lately.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Kelly at the cemetery in the rain in France and no President did not look good. @WoodyAq
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson yeah, and then missing Arlington on top of it. Really not a good week for the president.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Not on that subject. @WoodyAq
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson I don't think he's done very well on any subject lately. The election, the troops, moving the troops to the Mexican border for a political stunt, questioning election integrity, Sessions and Whittaker, his daughter's "lock her up" email fiasco, Saudi Arabia...

It's the mother of all losing streaks, really.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
He finally got Saudi Arabia right. We should wait and see re troops at the border. C’mon we all saw the FL election problems. Ivankas emails are terrible. But at least they haven’t been bleached out of existence and are part of the government record.
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson We haven't got Saudi Arabia right, Trump didn't make Florida less of a mess, and given the circumstances, Ivanka should have known better.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
I don’t see that he has the power to fix FL. Of course she should have. His comments today on SA were fine. @WoodyAq
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson He could have refrained from trying to make Florida worse.

His comments about "who will ever know the truth" about Khashoggi were dissembling spineless BS. It was weak, cowardly, and stupid.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Today he condemned SA for it. He couldn’t possibly have ,add FL worse. I don’t think we will see perfection from him but when he does do some things good (perhaps you demand perfection but no one can meet that standard in reality). @WoodyAq
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson He stopped short of placing blame where it was due in SA; his continued attempts to undermine confidence in the electoral process when things don't go his way are reprehensible.

What has he done that is good lately?
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Woody Woody Woody. The GOP candidates WON the FL governor and senator races. BTW have you seen Bob? @WoodyAq
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson Yes, but Trump tainted those victories by suggesting he wouldn't accept the results if they didn't win.

Undermining confidence in the electoral process is a perilous road to go down, and for Trump it isn't his first journey down it.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
I lot of people thought Broward County was corrupt and still think so. I try to be flexible you if my humble opinion a little flexibility wouldn’t hurt you either. @WoodyAq
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson The Florida election machinery is a mess generally. So it is with many states. But it's truly a bipartisan mess with both Republican (in the case of Florida) and Democratic administrations refusing to make the necessary investments.

But that's just run of the mill incompetence. There is really no evidence for the type of large scale manipulation that some on both sides are claiming. Including, especially, and most irresponsibly, our President.
