UC Berkeley, did a comprehensive study on the effects of raising the minimum wage, to $15, by 2023, in California. Some of the key findings:

1. The retail, restaurant and health services industries are effected the most. They can account for the increase, by raising their prices by 0.6%, across the board.

2. Increases in productivity will likely erase the effect of wage increase.

3. Across the board, there are benefits in education, at the family level, and healthcare.
