it is native american land. being native american (part) myself i feel a particular bad taste in my mouth over this. their concerns have merit. once again the us is trying to walk all over tribal rights. we are the people who own this and and should be listened to. there are other ways to do the pipeline, they don't need to put it through the reservation with out Indian approval. . that is a sovereign country. the native Americans were never even consulted about it. that's just bad communication. however i predict that courts will side with the us on this as they always do.
