The United States of America is a racist country....true or false ? 🇺🇸

After last nights election, and the recent results in Georgia, and in Florida. It is obvious that the mental stronghold on certain segments of White America still have an impact that results in an unnecessary fear based on propaganda and division. It ain't that damn bad, ok. It could be worse. Do you agree, that the US is still to some degree a racist country.

The US is the opposite of a racist country. It satnds for equality. Of course there may be some racists in it, but that doesnt make it a racist country. I'd say racists were a minority.

@fairefoutre well, the country is run by white supremacy for the most part. still dont think it makes it a racist country, just a country that wants to maintain white dominancy. doesnt make them racist, just traditional.

@Penny There are racial tensions. Racial inequality. America was founded through White Supremacy. Changing laws of segregation does not take away the attitudes and deep resentments from people. The system is still to some degree designed to favor those in power. That will never change. 🙂

@Penny Why blame the media. The media only exposes the truth and ways of people behind closed doors. So it's not the media's fault. This is the mindset of people who have been taught to hate. ☺️

@fairefoutre you say you are racist but is it really their race or their upbringing/person that you have a problem with? everyone is entitled to their preferences but i do believe all people deserve our respect unless or until they lose it no matter their race.

@Zonuss well, the minority is the minority. as a minority person myself, i think that ought to be respected and we should act in accordance. when people act like they don't realize their situation in life thats when things get hinky. i think deep resentments spring from being treated as inferior and not being recognized for what value they do have. it's easy to blame it on racism but i think it goes deeper than that. racism seems really a surface thing, when how we treat people goes so much deeper than what we think of people, of their skin color.

@Penny When I say deep resentments I'm speaking about people who have a hard time with equality and integration. People who envy your culture. People who hate your pride and confidence. You know and all that other bull crap nonsense. 🙂
Penny · 46-50, F
@Zonuss yeah, but nowadays that seems rare. there is opportunity for everyone. i guess it would depend on where you are in the country though or what you want.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@Penny The attitude is more common than you think it is. I think you're being naive cause you haven't experienced what others have. 🙂

@Penny Then it would be hard to make the assertion you made and expect to be taken seriously.🤷‍♀️

@Penny I find you naive.
Penny · 46-50, F
@JonathanC you wouldn't be the first

@Penny Goes without saying.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@Penny Are you even aware of all of the stories in the news about racial tensions...hate groups...and hate crimes that have been going on lately in 2019? Do you have a clue. 🙂
Penny · 46-50, F
@Zonuss the news is bullshit creating drama when there is none. people might be mad about some past police actions, but that is old news and in most cases the police were justified or found not guilty. i havent been watching the news lately though. i figure if anything big is happening i would hear about it. i just personally don't find the US a racist country. There is opportunity for everyone, at least from my vantage point. Plus all the black people I know now are the ones with the good jobs and the whiteys are suffering.
