@daisymay the question wasn't if racisim exists, it was if The United States of America is a racist country. Racism exists everywhere but the United States is not a racist country. People of different races live side by side and get on with their lives just fine.

@FreeSpirit1 That is true. But there is an underlying attitude or resentment that lives underneath it all. I seriously doubt you really know who is racist and who is not. It might be the person laying next to you at night. 🙂

Racist countries don't elect minorities to President and have minorities in every levels of political power have police, judges lawyers firemen college professors intellectuals, entertainment industry etc. We are not perfect but this not a racist country it's a country where like all countries we have racists of all colors.

The statements are equivalent. Using the quote function is for direct quoting. Anyone can easily tell when someone is paraphrasing as in the first example. Do you understand now, or are you going to keep deflecting away from the fact you said racism exists but only if you watch the media?

@daisymay You need to read the question again. Nowhere did I imply racisim only exists if you watch the media, the question was is the United States a racist country. My answer was yes, if you watch the media.
I said in this very thread racisim exists but it doesn't mean we are a racist country, if you think a country with racists in it is a racist country then that's what you think, I don't, That rationale would mean every country on Earth is a racist country.
