If you have your salary put into your bank and you use a bank card or ATM card on a regular basis, they have this stuff anyway !

Data collection goes on everywhere.
Think about the number of times a day you use your e-mail address.
How many companies know where you go, what you view, what you buy ?

@Synyster Well the real fact is that if all these other companies can distribute and sell your data without your consent, why can't the government do the same and make money ?

Think about it.
When Facebook was getting a grilling about selling folks data to Cambridge Analytica, they just laughed in the face of every government who questioned them on their motive for doing so.

But governments didn't introduce a LAW PROHIBITING them from doing so !
They're just jumping on the bandwaggon !

@Picklebobble2 I understand, but the fact that the Liberals are claiming that it's for improving digital government is BS. As well, they never announced it and kept it a secret which is against GoC policy.

That's another strike for Trudeau government.
