Thoughts on Right to Try legislation?

Bill allows patients with life threatening conditions to access experimental treatments that have not yet cleared the FDA.

I actually support this one. If chances of survival are less than 50/50 without an experimental treatment then I think it is okay for those patients to choose riskier treatments.

I'm leaning on being against it. It's one of these things that is good for the individual, but not necessarily for the collective as a whole.

I think it is bordering human trials, and if it becomes widespread, I fear that medicinal companies will rather wait for voulenteers to try and see what happens, rather than doing the careful process of testing and assessing all reasonably possible outcomes of a treatment.

With that being said I'm not a doctor. And I don't have my mind set on a definite no.

It’s criminal not to support it.

Sounds like a good idea to me.
