If we randomly selected a person from the US and assigned all non voter votes to them, would we see higher participation rates?

If you don't vote, your vote will go to Susan Smith, she's a 36 year old mother of three that works as a cashier at Family Dollar. We know none of her policy positions. Want to stay home and not vote now?

Bonus question: how many times would we actually see the random selection win before enough people got out to vote?

Do you really think the people in charge will give you the power to vote them out?

The random selection wouldn't win, because the entire democratic system is rigged.

I don't vote for people who I know nothing about. Even if their name is on the ballot. I'll leave a position blank on the ballot if I don't feel I know enough about the candidates. (if that happens, it's usually some judgeship or a local school board race)

@beckyromero a blank entry despite actually showing up to vote would be ok

Yeah, she should do the job, at least she hasn’t bullshited to get there..

My non vote does count. It’s for whomever god decides to put in office

Nope. People will think she cant be as bad as the politicians

@MaliaAgain that'd be telling in a different way if the rando did a better job of it. I'd believe it possible
What's 'enough'?
