Should people be worried about Bolsonaro's election as Brazilian President?

Obviously, this matters much more to people in Brazil but I also think it has international significance.

Breitbart, for example, supports what is likely to be the impending Brazilian military dictatorship:

For some light utopian escapism, I'm gonna watch some more House of Cards on Netflix

You guys call him fascist, but he's just an old fashion conservative. The culture warriors have been going off the deep end since the early sixties and you have turned the 'abnormal' into 'normal', so you see any resistance to the abnormality as "fascist". He's there because the people want him there. Perhaps they are tired of abnormal behavior being normalized. I'm not carrying my torch and pitch fork on this one, so just count me among the non included! Thank you.

@puck61 He's a texkbook definition of fascist.

@puck61 If Bolsonaro is not a fascist, what is fascism?

He loved Brazil's military dictatorship as fascism is anti-Democratic, he is obsessed with nationalism and masculinity, believes the strong should dominate the weak, is very militaristic, and has contempt for minorities and women.

Old fashioned conservatives don't celebrate dictators or say things like "I wouldn't rape you because you don't deserve it."
@Burnley123 I wouldn't want him, but the mob is trying to destroy one of the best presidents we've had in a long time, so I why should I believe anything they say? The left only destroys and lies. If the Brazilian people like Bolsonaro let them have him.

@puck61 Its there vote and their choice. Just as a lot of Italians voted for Mussolini. The people will suffer through and there is no comparison between the centre-left and a fascist.
@CountScrofula I really don't know if anything a leftist says is truth. It's gotten to the point that I figure anyone the left freaks out about must be on the right track. The left is like a reverse barometer. If the left swears it's truth, it's sure to be a lie, and if the left says it's a lie, it's sure to be truth. There are no words foul enough to describe how I feel about the left as it is now.

Isn't that a danger though? Could it not mean that you are gonna support anyone who the left criticises under any circumstances. You don't have to agree with me about everything but I think people can be manipulated.
@Burnley123 The kind of dark ages conservatism that Bolsonaro is into would never get off the ground here. I don't want the inquisition, or anything. I don't believe in trying to choreograph other people's karma if they aren't hurting anyone. I heard Bolsonaro is pretty 'anti gay'. We have a lot of work to do to get back to Andy's Mayberry and Norman Rockwell's "Malt Shop", I would like to see a world where abortion was not the best option for so many people. It would take a sudden epidemic of 'responsibility' and 'respect' and I don't see how that can happen without major divine intervention . I honestly would like to see 'hard work', 'respect', 'responsibility', and traditional religious values play a larger role in society
