Not surprisingly, Trump's parade of lies keeps marching though the center ring of the circus that is his administration. So to clear up some talking points and reduce the echo effect, some information:
Saudi Arabia
Trump has often talked up a $110 billion arms deal that would have the potential to create up to 1 million jobs (originally 40,000).
Those numbers don't add upon closer examination. Saudi Arabia has followed through on $14.5 billion in purchases, not $100b. Further, experts claim the deal's job-creation potential is much lower than the hundreds of thousands Trump has mentioned.
Immigration
Trump blames the migrant caravan working its way north through Mexico and Central America as a conspiracy of the Democrats. The latest new example? "Democrats want caravans. They like the caravans. A lot of people say, 'I wonder who started that caravan...'" and "The Caravans are a disgrace to the Democrat Party. Change the immigration laws NOW!"
Trump has offered zero proof to back up his statement. And in toddler fashion, when asked by a New York Times reporter about evidence for his claims that the "caravan" is full of "hardened criminals," his reply was a very informational and stately, "Oh please, please, don't be a baby..."
Voter fraud
Trump tweeted that "all levels of government and law enforcement are watching carefully for VOTER FRAUD," even though cases of voter fraud are astonishingly rare. "Cheat at your own peril," he said, even though his own voter fraud commission was dissolved in January.
Study after study shows voter fraud to be largely a myth. Among the hundreds of millions of votes cast [i]in 2016, there were only four recorded instances of fraud.
Vote count
Trump stated that the recent opioid bill passed with "very little Democratic support."
The truth is the bill passed as a rare bipartisan feat, receiving nearly unanimous support in both chambers. It passed the Senate with a vote of 98-1. The sole dissenter? Utah Sen. Mike Lee, a Republican. the House passed it 393-8.
Another round of tax cuts
At a Nevada's rally recently, Trump mentioned another "major tax cut for middle-income people," that would be done "sometime just prior, I would say, to November."
Except that Congress on recess and out of town until after the midterms and there's no tax-cut package in existence right now, Other than from Trump's a**, it's unclear what or where this new package would be or come from.
