Al Gore and Barack Obama tried to do a lot about it, they closed down American factories and clean coal facilities and sent America's jobs oversees where other countries now pollute at more outrageous levels. Then these countries send products back here on more boats and planes causing more pollution.
The end result was the destruction of: the US middle class, the US economy and more pollution. All in the name of "climate justice," LMAO. Loss of US jobs, loss of freedom and increased government control over US citizens were the result of such diabolical politics.
A new cult has now formed devoid of common sense, a generation of illogic driven virtue signalers who have no idea how their country has been raped by leftist elitist ideologues, cultists who couldn't give two craps about the climate or their country. But they have their useful idiots who will buy into their BS and that's all that counts. God help those who can be suckered by anybody who is willing to sell them a sob story.
Buy a clue about reality, then find a brain which can use logic and reason without clinging to a leftist political agenda which destroys the US economy.

@therighttothink50 Wow, you really have no concept of business or economy, do you? Obama and Gore didn't close down factories - that's the private business sector. Jobs went overseas because Americans want things cheap and paying someone $3 a day is easier than paying someone $7.25 an hour. You know what causes as much or more pollution than shipping goods? Recycling.
But don't worry abut the US economy, the tariffs that are beginning to cripple it or the nationalism that's driving up costs. Because without climate, none of it matters, does it?

It's like you've never heard of taxes and the EPA before 😒Nah. We'd have to alter our lives drastically. People die without A/C, for example. People won't do it.

@cultofaction Whatever "facts" make your life more comfortable for you. US consumers are the ones buying the plastic driving production overseas, where it's cheaper to manufacture and dispose of waste, and where environmental regulations and human rights are lacking enforcement. Most of our products are from China, where most of the pollution is harbored. We are equally at fault because we are consumers.

@lovelywarpedlemon I'm sorry but you're wrong again. The US isn't even the country consuming the most water bottles -- China is. The US isn't at the top per capital either. Mexico, for example, consumes double what we do per capita.

Businesses are obligated to make as much money as possible. This means that they're obligated to buy the most cost effective resources on the market. The only reason why we buy products from China is because our domestic products have to meet environmental (and all kinds of other) standards, while the Chinese alternatives hardly have to do the same. This allows Chinese products to undercut our own in price. Chinese production practices are irresponsible. If they chose to be more responsible and enforce similar standards, then we wouldn't have nearly as much pollution and we likely wouldn't be buying their products. China and India are sacrificing the environment for short term gain. They are the weak point that fails the environment. You can't pass the blame to consumers who are acting logically because you can't possibly expect the world to collectively do something illogical in order to get something in return that is intangible (less pollution).@cultofaction You're looking for confirmation bias.

Republicans are starting to acknowledge the reality of man-driven global climate change. The new talking point is that we are too far along and nothing we can do will change anything (which is false, by the way), so we shouldn't do anything. Expect to see more and more of that.

No, the real debate is over what happens to Al Gore when his propaganda is outed as such
cultofaction · 26-30, M
@Graylight Nonsense.

@cultofaction Prove otherwise.
