I'm not aware if he does believe in a borderless world, I don't read about him outside of when somebody starts having a hysterical meltdown. But anyway, if he did, there's an obvious short-term benefit to the wealthy. Unhindered ability to see capital flowing anywhere in the world would send businesses sky rocketing. In the long term it would probably play out better for humanity as well. That is, if regional/sectarian interests become so diminished that effort is no longer wasted pursuing them, and instead redirected toward anything that benefits the human race as a whole.
