Well it depends on the person. Rich people like him because he's cutting their taxes and making poor people pay it instead. Some poor people like him because they've forgotten they're poor and have bought into the narrative that the only reason they're not billionaires is because other working class people are holding them down. And a great deal of people like him just for his personality. It's no secret that Americans have short attention spans and little ability to choose politicians based on substantive issues. It's all about the emotional reaction they get from a person.

@BlueMetalChick As a small business owner I think Trump's tax plan to reduce taxes on small businesses and remove inheritance tax are both good things. Especially since the rich have ways around the inheritance taxes.

He also slashed the alternative minimum tax, which only applies to very wealthy people who can afford to pay a veritable army of lawyers to find every loophole they can to decrease their taxes. The alternative minimum tax is exactly what it says; it is an second possible minimum for people who have found a way to get below the previously established minimum rate. So now extremely rich people pay far less in taxes because there's no second minimum rate that kicks in. Guess who has to make up the difference? Me and you.

Well if you make less than $75,000 annually, your taxes are going up. And if you don't own an estate worth $11,000,000 then your taxes are also going up. The Trump tax plan moved the bar for the estate tax from five million dollars to eleven million dollars. In other words, taxes on people with estates worth less than eleven million dollars just saw a huge decrease in their taxes. Guess who has to make up the difference?
