How can anyone support this?

I've tried to keep politics off my main page and confine it to my replies, but this is just sickening.

This isn't winning. This isn't making us great. This is sick. This is Trump's America, and I want no part of it.

did you even investigate who he is???? then you would know that he is part of the OBAMA crew..mad his program is failing-OBAMACARE which should be repealed. having first hand knowledge of the failure of that program-it almost killed my brother

@akindheart Did you even read the article?
OggggO · 36-40, M
@akindheart Also, don't lie:
Alex Michael Azar II is an American lawyer and former drug company executive who is the current United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, after being nominated by President Donald Trump on November 13, 2017
@akindheart Then you should support Bernie Sanders' call for universal health insurance.

Oh, wait, you don't, because you're a brainwashed idiot who hears the word "socialism" and thinks "Soviet gulags." So you vote against your own interests.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@LeopoldBloom first of all, dont' call me a brainwashed idiot. secondly, socialism will never work here. and thirldy, i will never support dumb ass Bernie Sanders.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@akindheart So, when do you plan on giving up your Social Security and Medicare?
akindheart · 61-69, F
@OggggO where did you read that crap? let me guess. fake news.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@akindheart You said socialism will never work in this country. Those programs are socialist. Ergo, I assumed you planned on renouncing them.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@OggggO i paid into medicare and social security. so no, it is not socialism..
OggggO · 36-40, M
@akindheart They aren't savings accounts. You paid for the people who were using at the time, now people currently paying into them are paying for you.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@OggggO correct. you can label it any way you want it. our benefits are geared to what we put in them ie. social security. unlike true socialistic programs where everybody gets the same.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@akindheart Ahh, I see now, you're one of those people who thinks "socialism" is just a word for things you don't like without actually understanding what it is.

any toxicologist will tell you its the dosage that makes the poison. There is an acceptable amount of cyanide your body can tolerate. A few government programs that look like socialism are tolerable, even if those programs are failing like socialism eventually does.@OggggO
akindheart · 61-69, F
@OggggO my son lives in a socialistic country. i know all about it. thanks for the reparte
OggggO · 36-40, M
@redredred Failing? Try again. Social Security was doing so well than Congress decided to loot it like a piggy bank to pay for things that they couldn't afford.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@OggggO true...at least twice. how did Clinton balance the budget? he raided soc sec.
redredred · M
are you trying to say that Social Security and Medicare are presently and for the foreseeable future on sound actualial footing? Take a moment to consider your response.@OggggO
OggggO · 36-40, M
@redredred They would be, were their funding accounts not full of IOUs.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@OggggO no George W Bush predicted the fund would go bankrupt in the future...nearer than we thought.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@akindheart W? Really? The man who thought tax cuts somehow increased the amount of tax revenue?
