Trump is having another Twitter melt down about Mueller...

Might Manafort be thinking of cutting a deal?

Every citizen should be disgusted at the money wasted on Mueller and the no results.
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson You don't count all the convictions and guilty pleas as results? Plus all the indictments?

And you put no value on the insight it has given us into Russian efforts to subvert American democracy? 🤔

As a conservative concerned with national security, I'm more disgusted at the people and the money they spend covering for Russian spies.

But then, I'm a patriot.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
None of which was Mueller’s job and all of which are being prosecuted by the DOJ. @WoodyAq
Johnson212 · 61-69, M
@WoodyAq It is not really startling news, the Russians to the extent that they are able to have always done anything they could to support the political party that they think would most benefit them were that party to win. In this case those efforts include making posts on Facebook and hacking into the DNC's poorly secured e mails which prove that the fix was in for Hillary to freeze out Sanders.

It in no way effected the election, the votes were properly counted, what effected the election was Americans who were so stupid as to believe what someone posted and shared on Facebook instead of reliable sources.

Don't think for a minute either that the US does not try to influence the elections of other nations, kind of like the pot calling the kettle black. We have not only influenced elections around the world through our CIA but have unseated democratically elected governments in favor of a dictator who was aligned with our interests.
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson Well, it wouldn't have been Mueller's job if Trump hadn't said that he intended to use his authority over the DOJ to derail the investigations into Russian meddling. But he did, so here we are.

Mueller is investigating and the DOJ is prosecuting based on the information his team has provided.
WoodyAq · M
@Johnson212 Everybody does it, and we do it too are not grownup arguments.

Real countries take steps to prevent malicious espionage against their governing institutions.

As for it not affecting the last election: there is no way to know or prove that. But it is no longer the point. We now need to worry about the next election.
Johnson212 · 61-69, M
@WoodyAq All that has become kind of uninteresting since Woodward's book. Some real bombshells there.
WoodyAq · M
@Johnson212 Oh yeah. But no, Russia's ongoing attacks in America should still be interesting.

And I don't think Woodward has ruled out Trump as a Russian agent. Although there is a case to be made from Woodward that he isn't a useful enough idiot.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Excellent dose of reality! @Johnson212
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
What would you say are the highlights and as a result where do you think things will go? @Johnson212
Johnson212 · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson I don't think you can predict it, the way he opens the book says a lot though. I already mention this somewhere else, but

Our trade agreement with S. Korea is also tied to intelligence agreements that give us a warning within 7 seconds of an N. Korean missile attack, otherwise it takes 15 minutes to get the warning from our Alaska stations. Cohn knows this and that is why he panicked and snatched the draft off Trumps desk, he was not stealing to stop anything, he knows it could easily be replaced, he wanted to show it to Sec. Defense Maddox who came and explained to Trump why we can't withdraw from this trade agreement, it protects the United States.

What interests me is who drew up the letter to withdraw from our trade agreement with South Korea, why and who knew about it. Why did not Maddox not know about it since it impacts our national security. Why does Maddox have to come to Trump and explain to him the ramifications of withdrawing, is Trump so stupid he can't figure it out himself. At the highest levels of our government apparently one had does not know what the other is doing.

I can't believe some of these people saying fake news, Woodward has no credibility, I guess they don't believe Watergate happened either.
WoodyAq · M
@Johnson212 So how does this sit with Mueller's anticipated findings?
Northwest · M
@Johnson212 Woodward is a Pulitzer prize winning author and investigative journalist. He already took down one President. That aside, he's not a prosecutor, and those who hold that title, have a responsibility to carry on with their work.

He’s completed that. Time to close shop. @HerKing
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson You've got an advanced copy of the report?

And he hasn't interviewed Trump yet ... which would be the natural conclusion to the investigation.
HerKing · 61-69, M

Naaa.

Nothing more to see project compete. @HerKing
Northwest · M
@WoodyAq @HerKing I'm really puzzled why they want the investigation closed. It's been producing one indictment after the next. It exposed all the Russian hacking, that the Trump camp did not want found.

The investigation, is scaring a lot of people, and you have to wonder why. All the bullshit about waste is laughable. Trump spends more on that in a weekend, playing golf, and anytime Melania decides to stay away from him, so they need a double crew to protect them.
WoodyAq · M
@Northwest Add to that: if Trump were to shut up about it, it would be barely noticeable.

If Trump has nothing to worry about, Mueller has made no statements, nor have there been any leaks that should worry him.

The fact he's so publicly freaking out suggests he knows a lot more than what is publicly known about the case Mueller will present.

The only way he could is that he's guilty.

I don't know what he's guilty of. But he obviously does.
HerKing · 61-69, M
@WoodyAq Trump knows exactly what Mueller does. That's why nearly every tweet he comes out with is about him and his gripe with Mueller. An innocent man would simply say 'Bring it on bitch, you got nothing.' and not mention it again, secure in the knowledge he'll have the last laugh. Trump hasn't even come close to that.
Northwest · M
@WoodyAq Trump is all about showmanship/obfuscation, and when it comes to his supporters/crowd, he knows it's all about the noise level. So, the louder he is, the more likely they will never challenge his version of the story.

So, the narrative changes from "guilt or no guilt", to "it's none of their business to investigate".
WoodyAq · M
@Northwest Yeah, it seems like they are trying to get him off on technicalities. That type of defense serves a purpose in criminal trials, but is obviously inappropriate here.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Celebrate while you think you can boys. A report will be written saying the President did some bad non criminal things. The former Mr Mens Wearnoise guarantees it! @WoodyAq @HerKing
HerKing · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson
A report will be written saying the President did some bad non criminal things.
You've seen the drafts? Wow. 🙄
HerKing · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson
Every citizen should be disgusted at the money wasted on Mueller and the no results.
It's okay, the properties and money that Manafort is forfeiting after his guilty pleas more than pays for the investigation, several times over. You do encourage the prosecution of crimes don't you? This one has yielded results..Seven guilty pleas so far, and 23 Russians indicted. More to come...Because Trump knows all the best people.

Not so long ago there was a rumour flying around that Trump was playing 3D chess then it was 5D and 9D chess. Trump couldn't learn the principle of tiddlywinks.
