Seeing the past and recent performances between the two party's makes me wonder about the possibility of a third party becoming more of a reality by addressing the issues of healthcare, education, poverty, and Social Security ?

Could be. But i really don't see a third party being able to make much headway in the states. Not anytime soon at least
