Do you think America will ever have a Black President Again?

What about Hispanic, Asian or something else?

Do you think that the presidents should represent the diverse 'melting pot' of America?

I'm not saying to vote for them solely because of the color of their skin, surely they need to know how to do the job, but America has been so divided, after 45 presidents, do you think there is a chance of change? What about a woman?
Do you think it's possible?
Why or Why not

Since the left would have us believe that the US turned into a cesspit of racism overnight with a white supremacist in every closet and a Nazi under every bed, no.

@Sicarium well, to be fair, racism in America is very much alive so, 💁

@sweetiepoo Yup, it's such a racist country that we elected a black man twice. We're so racist.

Or the racist baiters are pushing a lie,

@wildbill83 that's interesting, but I have to disagree with Morgan Freeman. Not talking about is not going to end it. If we close our eyes, it doesn't make whatever is in front of us disappear.

@Sicarium It’s not the “left” doing anything. Racism has always existed at these rates. It’s just people have the ability to share it a lot more often through social media whereas before it was largely ignored. We as a whole like to pretend like after slavery and Jim Crow ended that racism died. It hasn’t. The KKK still exists and neo nazis are open about it. That has got nothing to do with the “left” . Also, voting a black president twice is not evidence that America isn’t racist. That’s just like saying if a white woman has mixed kids she can’t be racist which is most definitely not true. Many of my mixed friends have racist white parents and don’t even consider them half black.

@wildbill83 Morgan Freeman doesn’t speak for all black people, and rich black people tend to ignore the struggles of other blacks more often times than not. Not talking about racism is why we have the issues we do now because it changed the way it’s expressed in modern society.

@lequack Morgan Freeman grew up in a poor family, in a time much more difficult than today in terms of racial relations/equity. So I'd put more stock in his beliefs/ideals than some young spoiled brat whose never known real struggle...

@lequack wow, that's a whole lotta truth.

@wildbill83 Money makes most people forget their roots. That being said, again, one black person does not speak for black people as a whole race. There are plenty of black people who hate other black people.
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
@lequack true, but we need to look beyond hyphenated Americanism, stop defining each other by race and the past, and only see each other as American to truly get past racism...
lequack · 26-30, F
@wildbill83 That’s what black people are asking, and then they are told to stop talking about race. Unfortunately we don’t live in an ideal world, so people will always be defined by their skin color whether they want to or not.

@lequack some lack the proper motivation and/or respect; I say we institute mandatory military service, would solve many problems, and sort out the real Americans. In the Army, there is no white, brown, black, etc. only "green".
